Ingredients

  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup (6 ounces) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (if omitting, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour)

Steps

  1. pre-heat oven to 375
  2. Combine in small bowl:
    • flour
    • baking soda
  3. Beat in large bowl until creamy:
    • butter
    • sugar
    • brown sugar
    • vanilla extract
  4. Add egg to large bowl and beat well
  5. Gradually beat in small bowl contents to large bowl
  6. Stir in chocolate and nuts
  7. place 1/4 cup dollops on ungreased baking sheet
  8. Bake for 11-13 minutes until golden-brown
  9. Let cool on baking sheet
